How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by CoinGlint. Open App Store → your name → Account Settings → Subscriptions, or use Manage Subscription in CoinGlint's Settings → Subscription tab, which takes you straight there. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the period you already paid for ends.

I subscribed but Pro is not unlocked

Open Settings → Subscription and press Restore Purchases. Make sure the Mac is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If it still does not unlock, email us with the date of purchase.

I was charged after cancelling

CoinGlint cannot issue refunds — Apple handles all billing. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What does the free trial include?

The two-week free trial gives you every Pro feature. It is an App Store introductory offer, so it is available once per Apple Account. If you have subscribed before, the paywall will not advertise a trial to you.

Prices and data

The price is not updating

A dot beside the price marks the feed's health, and the dropdown says in words when a price is not live. Common causes:

• No network. The app keeps showing the last known price and labels it as such.
• The exchange is unreachable from your region. Some exchanges restrict access by country. Switch data source in Settings → Market.
• Repeated failures. After three failures in a row the app slows its polling to avoid hammering the exchange, then returns to your chosen interval on the next success.

My pair says "not listed"

Exchanges list different markets. The pair you picked is not traded on the data source you selected — switch source, or pick another pair. The settings window marks pairs the current source does not list.

Which exchanges can I use?

Coinbase and OKX are available on the free plan, with Coinbase as the default. Pro adds Binance, Kraken, Bybit, KuCoin and HTX, plus any trading pair those exchanges list.

Why does the price differ from another app?

Each exchange has its own order book, so the same coin trades at slightly different prices in different places. CoinGlint shows the price from the exchange you chose, unmodified — it does not average or adjust anything.

Alerts

My alert did not fire

Check, in order:

• Notifications are allowed. The Alerts tab says so, and offers a button to open System Settings if they are not.
• The rule is switched on. Each rule shows why it is or is not armed.
• Percent-change alerts need history. A rule watching a one-hour move cannot fire until the app has been running long enough to have an hour of prices; the rule shows "warming up" until then.
• The app is running. CoinGlint checks prices only while it is open — turn on Launch at Login so it is always there.

My alerts disappeared

They are paused, not deleted. When a subscription lapses, alert rules are kept exactly as they were and resume when you subscribe again.

The app itself

There is no icon in the Dock

That is deliberate. CoinGlint lives only in the menu bar. Click the price to open its menu; Quit is at the bottom.

I cannot find it in the menu bar

macOS hides menu bar items when the bar runs out of room, which happens sooner on laptops with a notch. Try quitting an app or two, or use a menu bar manager to reveal hidden items.

Can I change the language?

Yes — Settings → General → Language. English and Simplified Chinese are supported, and the change applies immediately without a restart.
